The Ripple vs SEC case has had the crypto world on the edge of their seats, waiting for the final ruling. While the decision was expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2023, it appears that the verdict has been delayed.
At a recent fintech summit in Dubai, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse shared an intriguing update on when the legal dispute between the crypto giant and the SEC could reach its conclusion – within the next 2 to 6 months. However, top lawyer Bill Morgan has a different prediction.
Ripple Vs. SEC could End As Early As Next Month
During a recent fintech summit in Dubai, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse provided an update on the ongoing legal battle between Ripple and the SEC. According to Garlinghouse, the case, which was initiated 2.5 years ago, has been a slow and frustrating journey, but the end is finally in sight. He expressed his optimism that the SEC case against Ripple will be resolved within the next two to six months, preferably before the third quarter.
Pro-crypto lawyer Bill Morgan, known for his outspoken opinions on Ripple, XRP and the SEC, responded to Garlinghouse’s statement. Morgan concurred with Garlinghouse’s prediction, stating that the resolution of the case is likely to take place within the same time frame, and could even be resolved as early as next month.
He suggested that Garlinghouse’s prediction may have been based on information provided by Ripple’s legal team, giving it more credibility than other predictions.
